About the Event
Tom Williams is a leading adventure play thinker and practitioner. He has over 30 years experience running and managing adventure playgrounds in London, Cardiff and Bristol. As play officer for Bristol for 12 years he pioneered an adventure play philosophy for the whole city with street closures for play, Play pods with loose parts in primary schools, play rangers in parks and large scale adventure play events. Inspired by visiting adventure playgrounds in Berlin, Hamburg and Copenhagen he founded Woodland Tribe a not for profit promoting adventure play all over the UK at festivals, schools, art galleries and communities.
