Ropes & Knots for Forest School
Ropes and forest school go hand in hand. From setting your tarps and swings, to rope craft and making your own cordage; there is always more to do and learn! In this online session we will focus on two subjects every Forest School leader needs to know.

About the Event
There will be a practical demonstration focusing on rope set up for you to follow along with at home and also a Q & A session after.
Jon runs his own Forest School business working with Pre Schools and Primary Schools in Horsham. His interest and knowledge of rope craft comes from his previous career working on some of the world’s largest super yachts. He also teaches rope and knot work to teenagers and adults as an Advanced Instructor in the Sea Cadet Corp.
To join in with the practical session please ensure you have:
·  A length of thin cord about a meter long (paracord would be ideal but other rope will do as long as it not too thick)
·  Something to tie your rope too, like the legs of small upturned table or chair!
